Chinook formed in Toronto in the summer of 2012 and consists of two members: Zo Rane and Shannon Doherty. Zo Rane is a guitar guru and self-taught producer/sound engineer who has recorded various demos in numerous basements and alcove’s alike. Zo’s counterpart, Shannon Doherty, has been singing and writing most of her life - a passion that illuminates itself through the vocals and lyrics of Chinook. Much like the northern Canadian winds the band is named after, Chinook’s music aims to bring a fresh, warm surge to the Toronto music scene. Chinook transcends multiple musical genres, creating songs that resemble a variety of styles from alternative rock, pop to blues. Chinook’s sound meshes its own artistic and innovative groove, while embracing influence from various artists from all different types of music.
