After turning out many lackluster, overproduced albums in the late 1980s and early '90s, Nascimento is back at the top of his form with this album, full of rich melodies, powerful rhythms and wonderful lyrics. A great complement to this CD is the marvelous book "The Brazilian Sound," which devotes an entire chapter to Nascimento and which I also purchased through Amazon.com.
