I wanted to create a well rounded project for listeners everywhere, something that is relatable and touches the soul of each individual. The goal was to show the audience a level of music outside of the norm, outside of the standardized sound known as Hip-Hop/Rap today. When creating this cd the focus was storytelling and visual art. These two things ensured The music was clear, easy to follow, and easy to picture. The lyrics express a voice against negativity, poverty, and the Ability to adapt to your surroundings. Hustling and success by any means necessary is a daily task in the South and is reflected throughout this body of work through a variety of beats, tempos, and descriptive phrasing. Ultimately, this album shows growth and transition, while providing a roller coaster ride for listeners.
