Paul is a performer, and tireless promoter, of participatory traditional music and dance. Originally from Portland Oregon, and now living in Vancouver BC, Paul brings his shows, dances, and workshops to people up and down the west coast! As a banjo player, Paul explores a variety of intriguing Americana with a ready wit and engaging delivery. With four albums of family music under his belt "Detention Hall" is Paul's first recording for grown-ups, in which he got to explore the (slightly) darker side of the tradition, and share some songs he doesn't get to play at kids shows! Along with performing, Paul is also a banjo teacher, a skill that comes through in his strong, clear playing style.
