The Zimpraise choir has mastered the synchronicity and dynamism of gospel music. This is arguably one of the best gospel choirs ever to emerge from Zimbabwe. The musical connection that permeates is something that exists far beyond anyone`s power. The ensemble is a combination of their voices and dance. The fusion of the national dance jerusarema , dances from Zimbabwe and Africa`s various music genres, borrowdale dance, rhumba, musevera, and contemporary dances sets them apart from the rest of the pack . Zimpraise has recorded over 6 albums since its inception. Zimpraise produced 6 projects volume 1 and 2 are audio productions which were directed and produced by Macdonald Chidavaenzi. Then season 3 Power was the first project directed by Joseph Kudakwashe Madziyire then it was subsequently followed by Season 4 Covenant , Season 5 first Zimpraise women`s project Women of Praise and Season 6 All about Jesus. All in all they released 6 albums 3 live DVDS and four Audio. (a) Zimpraise Season 1 –Recorded in 2007. The 15 track CD was a compilation with different popular gospel musicians which included Pastor Gee, Kudzi Nyakudya, Sabastian Magacha, Bethan Pasinawako and many others. The songs like “kana musipondingaiteseiJesu?” and “Ndijesuchete” by Pastor G hitting the charts the local radio statins. (b) Zimpraise Season 2 - 2008 saw the launch of yet another audio CD this time a double CD –. A few more members were added to the already existing team to make the group sturdier. The team together managed to also do a few social responsibility activities like visiting Mavhuradonha School, Nyatsime College and Bonda Girls High. (c) Season 3 - The Power - The third Season was a Live DVD recorded at 7-Arts Theatre in July 2011. It was a night of excitement and bliss when a huge crowd thronged 7Arts Theatre in Avondale on the day, to witness, for the first time ever, Zimbabwe’s own inter- denominational praise and worship group Zimpraise performing at its own Live. The highly-energetic large choir featured some of Zimbabwe’s most popular gospel musicians like Thembalami Tagwirei, Pastor G and Sebastian Magacha. (d) Season 4 – The Covenant (Sungano)- This was another Live DVD recording called – (Sungano) in vernacular, with the Theme Song “Sungano” which hit the charts and being the theme song in most churches and wedding functions etc. Zimpraise pulled large crowds to the HICC on the 21st of July 2012. On the night of the show Zimpraise also took the initiative of honouring Gospel Music Legends of Zimbabwe the likes of Mechanic Manyeruke , Charles Charamba, Rita Shoniwa, Brother Sam, Jackie Madondo, Brian Sibalo and many others as we felt that they have contributed a lot in the music Industry in our country. It is because of their Inspiration and Impartation that we are here today continuing with the vision they had of spreading God’s word through music. (e) Season 5 - Women of Praise Volume 1 - The project was launched on the 22nd of June 2013 at the Harare Gardens. This project is a women project in Zimpraise an 8 track CD is a compilation with different popular gospel musicians within Zimpraise which include Marbel Madondo, Petrollena Gobvu, Sharon Manyonganise, Patience Masiyambiri and many others.The theme of the project was derived from the Scripture Psalms 31: 30. (f) Season 6 – It’s all about Jesus – 2014 Live DVD recording. Gospel music were treated to, thrilling, uplifting, soul stirring praise and worship songs. Zimpraise drew a large audience with members singing and dancing their way through more than a dozen songs. Nothing could have prepared Zimpraise fans as Zimpraise took over the whole hall with their valiant yet unassuming presence. (g) This is now Season 7 - Which was recorded Live @ the glamis Arena.
