Well if there had been any justice in this world The Hatters would be maga stars, but that's not the way it goes. Destined for the bargain bins this is one album that should be investigated especially as you can pick it up so dirt cheap (just like all the best albums). Just like those other bands Candlestick and Cry of Love, The Hatters are firmly rooted in classic early seventies rock and this there third album is an absolute must. You want strong rock songs with exemplary playing (ignore what one site said quoting that the musicianship was sub stangard-i wish i could play like these guys) this album has it, jazzy key board interludes and strong vocals throughout. How great it is to hear a band who know how to write decent songs and the highpoint has to be the eleven minute closer which has the sort of guitar duelling that made the outlaws and lynrd skynrd so great. Absolutely stunning. So what happened after this...well the record company dropped them. So i would love to know the rest of the story, until then we have three great albums to listen too-go for it!!!
