简介

This album is a journey. From the moment you press PLAY, all the way through the anthemic finale, 'Collide' will draw you into it's beautiful fusion of cultures, genres, and worship expressions - and reveal that incredible differences are not enough to keep us apart. So what does a beautiful fusion of styles sound like? Check out "Pilgrim", a collision of country and hip-hop that features vocals by Canadian country singer Paul Brandt. Or, the powerful worship anthems "Holy Wedding Day" (feat. The City Harmonic) and "Holy" (feat, Matt Gilman). If you love worship artists like Kim Walker-Smith (Bethel Music), Kari Jobe and Hillsongs United, you will want to check out "Beautiful" (Track 10) featuring an incredible vocal performance by Cynthia Hamar and Nadia Pries. This powerful worship song (written by Rob Wilson) expresses the heart of a worshipper longing to be found in the secret place. "First Time" is a catchy hip-pop tune that will make you wish you owned a convertible and lived near the coast! Turn it up, drop the top down and go for a summer-time ride as this super-single gets played over and over again, like you were hearing it for the very first time! What is the history behind this project? Who would have ever thought to bring together hip-hop beats, rappers, pop melodies and worship artists onto one album? Back in 2000, a young Fresh IE (R. Wilson) was introduced to worship artist and producer Jon Loeppky. The two immediately found a collaborative spirit and an affinity for writing singable hip-pop worship songs. A few short months later, this musical odd-couple hit the studio and recorded "28:3" (Verb Records) which included the hit single "Something About That Name" (which also appeared on "City of Worship" in 2013). Overnight, urban hip-hop fans were finding themselves listening to, and enjoying, pop worship songs. Meanwhile, conservative suburban folk found themselves worshipping to the heavy beats and lyrical stylings of an inner city rap artist. The barriers that came down in the collaboration of music began to manifest itself within the two artists fans. Fast forward to 2014. After nearly 15 years, Fresh IE and Jon Loeppky again joined forces to begin working on their latest rendition of that groundbreaking project. Collide one again brings together their widely accessible brand of hip-pop, rap-rock worship, along with their collective experience as long-time songwriters, composers and producers. Here's what people are saying about "Collide":
