Back in 2004, while producing the original Brahma Samhita which we released here some months back, Bhakta Ishmail became excited and felt he wanted to rap over the song. We lived together at that time in Pretoria near the temple, where we rented our studio premises. He was determined, and I did not want to disappoint him. However I really wanted to keep the original Brahma Samhita track true to Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakura's English translation. I did not want to lose that mood. Despite my protests, Bhakta Ishmail was not having any of that. He was a strong willed person. I had to decide what to do. I then promised him that we will do a complete remix, wherein he will have full scope to express himself. After completing the original work, I then went ahead with this production, to honour my fellow musician friend and devotee. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us to witness this release. He passed away a few years ago in England. Those of you who remember the "Little GoKool" Kids release from Kenya will recall his rap style which you will hear in this remix. I trust you will bless Bhakta Ishmail to progress in his Krishna Consciousness where ever he goes in his next life. I offer him my pranams and respects as well.
