Artists Information: Tom Boyd is one of the most heard oboists today. Boyd has been a featured oboist in over 1200 motion picture soundtracks including, the Jurassic Park Movies, Prince of Tides, Forest Gump, Beauty and the Beast, Hook, Schindler's List, Castaway to present movies such as The Bucket List, Leatherheads, Charlie Wilson's War, 2012, Princess and the Frog, and the upcoming Cats and Dogs Sequel. He has played on the Oscars, Grammys, The Tonight Show with Neil Diamond, and hundreds of record sessions for various artist such as Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler's "Beaches", Josh Grobin, Andrea Bocelli on tour, and Natalie Cole playing the solos on the album "Unforgettable". Boyd’s and Cesena’s intent of performing such music grew out of the desires to honor composers that have influenced them personally. In an opportunity to give back, they invited up coming composers to write arrangements of well-known motion picture melodies as well as original compositions to show cases their talents. Their passion is to reach people through playing their instruments in a more intimate and live setting. They have recently joined together to form the group "The Hollywood Soloists" as a way to bring gorgeous cinematic music to live audiences.
