简介

Pamela Davis's song writing is filled with insight, candor, and glimpses into the many choices and contradictions of life. The power of her words and music enable the listener to perceive and experience the depths of our human emotions. Pamela's commentary about life in the mid nineties is an important aspect on her new CD. Songs like Straitjacket, Play To Win, Round Peg, Square Hole, Breaking Point, and Sneakin' all deal, in a zany way, with social problems. She knows how to make her point without being heavy handed. Pamela's ability to lay down all tracks by herself is a reflection of the many layers she is capable of achieving as a musician. 'I played all the instruments myself because I felt the need to express my songs in ways that are true to me'. The way she blends instruments together is perhaps her biggest appeal . She seems to be driven and committed to experiment with a sensible array of sounds. Much of the excitement in Pamela's music is created by her startling ability to identify with others. Her song "Why" asks, in an impassioned philosophical tone, some tough questions about human nature and why perhaps violence exists at all. Another song "Breaking Point" was written about the retail worker, and the aggravation sales people must go though to keep their jobs. Anyone who has worked in a similar situation is going to howl with appreciation. Pamela's dedication and persistence in her craft has brought her to a level of perfection seldom achieved by aspiring musicians. Her devotion to honesty, love, and fun, fills her music with life.
