简介

Kayla's songs have many influences across pop/R&B including artists such as Dannielle DeAndrea, India Arie, Norah Jones, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Corinne Bailey Rae & Colbie Caillat just to name a few! Kayla's second album "Unbreakable" is a continuation of her musical journey, melding Kayla's melodic pop vocal lines with R&B/hip hop beats. Unbreakable was a collaboration with Isreal Cruz (who has produced Australian artists such as Jessica Mauboy and Ricki-Lee Coulter). Israel produced and co-wrote the album. Kayla later went on to work with a number of US based producers, such as Oak Felder (e.g. Chris Brown/Nicki Minaj) and the Sterotypes (the Far East Movement). What may sound like the original 'Annie Lennox' sample on 'Your Love' by Nicki Minaj, is in fact Kayla's vocals. She is featured on the Far East Movement's major debut album 'Free Wired' on the song 'White Flag', and has toured the world for a year as the Female feature for the group performing and supporting artists such as Rihanna on her 'Last Girl on Earth' tour in Australia, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, and Lloyd on the 'I Am Still Music' US tour, LMFAO on the Cheerytree Canada tour, Snoop Dogg for MTV Europe at the Summer Festival in Malta, Bruno Mars and Cee Lo Green at the Macy's Glamorama US charity tour, B.O.B, Ke$ha, Pitbull, Jason Derulo and many more. Kayla has travelled with the Far East Movement to places such as Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Dubai, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, UK, Canada and the list goes on. Kayla also sings backing vocals on the second Far East Movement major album Dirty Bass, on the title track. Kayla has worked with writers and producers such as Claude Kelly, Oak Felder, Papa Justify aka Pop, Stereotypes, Jon Jon, August Rigo, Lady V, Bonnie Mckee, Adonis just to name a few. You may also want to check out Kayla's first album, Stay Forever, which gives a historical perspective to her early song writing and was a collaboration with renowned Sydney artist Edoardo Santoni (the Velvet Fog), who produced the album, co-wrote some of the songs and played piano on several tracks. At heart Kayla is, and always will be, a true Aussie beach girl having grown up in Sydney's Bondi Beach, although more recently Kayla has lived in LA for several years. She is currently having a break from touring and is writing songs for her next album.
