New Jersey born and bred Brandon Zemel is the definition of a “renaissance man” as far as the entertainment industry goes. Having been in numerous bands, starred in TV shows and commercials, and been on stage in several different musicals throughout his life, in addition to his short (and not-so-short) stories, he has been involved in some way in almost every facet of entertainment. His musical interests range from smooth singer-songwriter backed by an elegant acoustic guitar, to the breakdowns and screaming that envelop modern post-hardcore, to the thumping bass of EDM, to the upbeat catchy melodies that can be heard on Top 40 radio stations, and beyond. Not only does he enjoy listening to all of those genres, he enjoys creating music within them as well, showcasing the many sides to him. With the launch of his solo career, he has a space to create styles of music he never has before. He describes the music as “pop-influenced rock music with a singer-songwriter feel and a touch of country influence”, for fans of Taylor Swift, Mayday Parade, Keith Urban, Ed Sheeran, Secondhand Serenade, and Daughtry. His debut EP, "New Beginnings", is entirely self-produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered in his own studio. Says Zemel on producing his own debut effort, “it was important to me to have total creative control. I had lots of ideas on where I wanted the album to go and how I wanted it to come out, and I wanted to make sure that my visions for it remained intact. While I was recording the record, some things changed, but they were my changes to make. It was really awesome being able to entirely produce and mix my own record, and have control over everything from the length of the sessions right down to how the final mix came out.” With the release of "New Beginnings", Brandon is prepared to do anything it takes to spread his music far and wide, and it's become clear that he has the talent to do it.
