Hong Kong independent singer-songwriter Kevin Kaho Tsui started learning guitar 4 years ago. Inspired by British & American YouTube musicians, Kevin began posting covers of his favourite songs and also wrote original music and uploaded them onto his YouTube Channel. In 2011, Kevin took his backpack along with a guitar and traveled alone all the way to Europe. He went busking in different Europen cities and gained some valuable experience on performing in front of strangers. Year 2013 was also an eventful year for Kevin. He was chosen and invited to perform at Taiwan’s ‘Spring Scream Music Festival’, as well as Hong Kong’s ‘Clockenflap Music Festival’. Kevin played over 60 live shows during that year, and has also released his first independent EP ‘Party, Love & Dreams’. Kevin took part in a Sony Music Hong Kong talent contest called ‘Our Works’ and was announced the winner of the contest later that year. Kevin has since been writing new songs and working on his one-man-band live performing style. In June 2014 he released a full new album ‘Dear Florence’. Kevin will play various shows across the city for the remaining times of the year, as well as traveling to other countries in Asia and play gigs to promote his new album.
