This is my 3rd Collection. It has a distintive flavor. The songs are about frustration with apathy,poverty, laziness and people who like to talk more than work. "Daddy Said" is about my father and grandfather and how they taught me being a man means not being afraid. We need more men like that today. "Rainy Day" came about from reading my daily devotionals and noticing how far our modern American society has wandered from it's roots. "Words from the Wise" were inspired by the newspaper quote by Curtis Wise after his wife and three children perished in a firey automobile accident. It is an important lesson for us all. "Shut Up and Do Something" was inspired after being trapped in an auto service center with four angry women watching "The View", 'nuf said. "Love Song" is a very passionate love song for my wife. Every man should sing songs like that to his wife....and only his wife. "Ostrich Song" is a social rant that is kind of like what Motorhead might sound like if they played slower and were from Kentucky. "Something Else" is about something else entirely. "Presidential Election" is a song I felt compelled to do. It's important to remember that the President is not our government, We are. "You Are" is another love song for my wife, she's special. "Jesus Robbed the Grave" is a blues gospel song of hope. This cd has a decidedly different sound from the first two (yes, there were two others, check them out). I hope you enjoy the music!
