From the opening track a rousing cover version of "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" to the tribute to his wife "Julia My Love", Art McAllister has clearly stated the source of his ministry, his music and his passion is the Love of God poured into his heart by the Holy Spirit. Fortunately for the listener Art has poured his very heart into every second of music, every lyric and every note on this project and result is a distinctively Spirit led concept album, with one song after another not only a treat to the ears but blessing the heart, soul and spirit of the listener with music uniquely interwoven with the theme of love knit together by the Word of God in Art's trademark style of ministry and musical arrangement like never before. Not a novice to the recording industry by any means Art's bio is a classic testimony of how God works all things together for the good of them that love God and are the called according to His purpose. His path to Jesus and ministry was preceded by an extensive background in the music industry including 4 years as a staff songwriter for EMI Music, several Billboard charted singles, music director for a couple of major recording artists and time well spent in numerous Hollywood recording sessions with major recording industry giants such as Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. This begin at 5 years of age when Art's dad, James Smokey McAllister, a Billboard Top 40 songwriter placed him in front of piano and at 9 years of age when Art's godfather, famed jazz trumpeter Louis Satchmo Armstrong encouraged him to practice, hone his craft and develop his innate musical abilities. However it was in 1996, after a run in with drugs sent him on a 6 year detour from the music industry and his passion and love for music Art, once lost, was found by Jesus received his calling as a psalmist and from that point on committed his very life, his musical skills, writing and production abilities to glorifying Jesus and as an ordained evangelist ministering the Gospel of Christ to the Body of Christ as well as to the un-churched. The amazing thing about this Faith we call Christianity, is that all of us, all the ministers, the preachers, the singers, the pew sitters, the helpers, the ushers..... all of us owe our Salvation, indeed our very lives and who we are as people to God who gave His Very Best to all of us..... and He did it All Because of Love!
