The First Day of Autumn brings together some of Jason's best loved tracks that have been used for advertising and TV, along with some previously unreleased tracks. Each piece creates an atmosphere that will enchant and transport the listener. The title track was inspired by a simple walk through some woods one autumn. As many artists will know, sometimes a feeling or emotion sensed for an instance cannot properly be expressed through words alone hence the need and urge to use the power of music to convey that moment. Who do I sound like musically? Every artist likes to think they are original and sound like no one else, however it would be wrong and somewhat pretentious to suggest I haven't been influenced by others over the years. Artists I most admire and appreciate include Enya, Mike Oldfield, Air, Hans Zimmer, Einaudi, James Newton Howard, Clannad, Abba, Bach and Rameau to name but a few and doubtless you will sense something of their presence in my music, we are after all a manifestation of past experience.
