"Refrain" is Durr's third project. Keeping the essential ingredients - his brother, Jaimeson Durr as engineer and Hyde Street Studios as the place - Aaron has brought some new faces as well. Andy Korn lays down impressive drum work, and Scott Mathews steps in as producer. Dave Moffat returns to drop a train on the bass guitar. Thematically, the project dives into feelings that Durr touched the tip of in past projects. His sarcasm takes a bit more of an aggressive turn, but still remains playful. The songs embrace Aaron's sing along melodies but have more of an edge and maturity than past projects. Sure to get stuck in your player and mind for days. And days. And days. And days.
