The catchy melodies and memorable lyrics swept through Catholic congregations and became forever embedded in the hearts and minds of Catholics who experienced folk Masses for the first time. For more than ten years these songs served as the core of Catholic Liturgical music. More than 40 years after the emergence of this new genre of liturgical music, many of these cherished songs are difficult to find in recordings or print. This new collection by Robert Kochis is a revival of memorable Catholic folk songs from the 60s and 70s by Composers: Ray Repp, Joe Wise, Paul Quinlan, James Thiem, the Dameans, and more.
