Formed by Rodrigo Nali and Elias Kopcak, Duo Catrumano - Instrumental Viola Caipira - dedicated to exploring the possibilities of this brazilian instrument and at the same time, so universal. Valuing the rhythms and rich harmonies of the Brazilian songbook, the Duo propose to provide new clothing to Brazilian music, looking at the combination of the viola and its wide variety of textures and nuances. This work results in the balanced and harmonious fusion between popular music and songs of the World, its an unusual instrumental music, exploring new avenues. The repertoire mixes original compositions with traditional tunes and interpretations of the great composers, respecting the roots of the recent past coupled with contemporary musical elements. There are four hands who recreate sounds that share the good instrumental Caipira brazilian music. Group of multiple influences, the Duo Catrumano is part of the rich universe of “Caipira guitar” to perform instrumental arrangements of unique sound. With fine touches, the musicians draw an integrated musical conversation where the listener can understand the sophistication of your lines through the matrix of the instrument, folk or “Caipira music”. The Catrumano is the figure of the frontiersman from Northern Minas (GERAISERO) that always works very hard for their survival, despite all difficulties.
