One Day in a Life is an album that reflects my life experiences. The project evolved from deep within my soul. Because of this, I think it flows like light into the heart of every listener. Sometimes mere semantics cannot express the deep-seated feelings of the human condition. Even when there are words that describe an emotion, we have a tendency to look past what we hear with our ears. It is only then that we tend to let our hearts finally take over to search the underlying meaning of what is being said. All of my life I have loved the magic and mystery that music creates. At times, I have been so entranced in beautiful melodies that my imagination runs wild. And it is only then that the muses in my mind paint and display a perfect tapestry, a musical picture, and display it before my eyes. One Day in a Life was meant to take the listener on this same type of journey. Sure, the album reveals the feelings and events of my own life. However, more importantly, it causes one to ponder their unique journey in life. The tracks of the album are as carefully placed as they are composed. The album commences as each day does, starting with “Day Break.” This song and the second track, “En Mai” reflect the wonderful times of my youth, summers of innocence, and love. The dark times in my life are displayed as well in songs such as “Betrayal.” There are themes of tender romance in “Lovers Rendezvous” and musing of the beauty and splendor of my later years “I Will Waltz For You.” I even examine my own mortality and short time left on this world within the track “Night Fall.” Last, but not least, “Heart to Heart” is the final song on the album which reveals that these are all of my life experiences. The song states simply that this is my life expressed in music, and I would love to share them with you from my heart to your heart.
