This is a compilation re-release of two EPs: side A is Spirit Cooking, a project from december 2016, and side B is Pilot Wave, a project from december 2014. Both projects were made from algorithmically generated MIDI files. Pilot Wave was made using Tim Thompson's Gif Jam, and 6 of the Spirit Cooking tracks were made using Maciej Biedrzycki's cgMusic, while 3 were written by me. (Can you guess which is which? Email spiritcooking (at) protonmail (dot) com) The MIDI files output by these applications were processed in Ableton, and sometimes Audacity. One was made in Linux Multimedia Studio. Is This Thing On? is intended to be a "triple album," where the third part is a book, but this is not yet released. Stay tuned.
