EXIT Soundscape proudly presents "Close To You", a collaboration between BLR, anamē & Truetone! In the creation of this melodic and emotive anthem, these co-creators embarked on a journey through perhaps their most challenging winter yet. As the cold silence and frostiness of the outside world pressed in, a spark of inspiration ignited within these visionary artists. Together, they cultivated a vision for the song - an ethereal vocal idea, a beacon of warmth and intimacy amidst the winter's chill. Hailing from the flatlands of Southern Holland, Truetone has been influencing the playlists of some of the world’s biggest and best artists for the last decades. Known for his refreshing and slightly experimental sound he is always searching for new elements in his music. His career started to take off in the early 2000’s. He was spotted by the mighty Tiësto, who took him under his wing. BLR is the alias of renowned producer Leon Bolier adopted to showcase a deeper, darker yet melodic club-focused sound. Signing the first ever BLR release ‘Nungwi’ to Tiësto his Aftr:Hrs label then continued to push a more experimental yet dancefloor-friendly sound. Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, the Swede and the Norwegian bonded over a shared love of artists, labels, ethics and ideas. In 2022, the anamē adventure began on Anjunabeats. “We started working on ‘Close To You’ a winter ago, during the darkest days of the year – having the vocal idea ready and feeling how this vocal should play out within the whole production, creating that intense shivering moment when the vocal enters, and building into what ultimately became ‘Close To You’, one of our most close-to-our-heart works.” said the artists, as they capture the very essence of this track, infusing it with their unique vision and passion.
