Together their sounds blend and enhance one another to produce qualities that neither alone could realize.” – Edward Laut and Lesa Pastor Having received his training from Janos Starker, Edward Laut has been a member of the Cleveland Orchestra and now teaches cello at the University of Kansas. Laut is featured on the CD “Cellofire,” performing compositions by David Baker. He is co-founder of E&E Cello Music, L.L.C., a publishing company offering more than 250 original cello arrangements and compositions written by Laut and co-founder Erinn Renyer, including the guitar-cello arrangements on this CD. Guitarist Lesa Pastor studied cello with Laut. By the time she returned from William Jewell College and Oxford University several years later, she had incorporated cello techniques into her guitar playing. Laut and Pastor renewed their collaboration to produce this CD.
