With members involved in several music projects including Yamon Yamon, The Grand Opening, The Je Ne Sais Quoi and side solo acts, Will Gambola Sing deliver their delicate music in a debut EP suggestively called “Overheard Dialogue Reconstructed”. Their pure instrumental songs open our ears to unusually cheerful shoegaze and slow motioned pop made of graceful and elusive leitmotivs that would effortlessly lend themselves to the soundtrack of a film depicting offhandedly-complex teens (Araki’s Mysterious Skin for instance), performing an accompaniment to a long sequence shot. With evocative titles such as Space Is A Strange Place, Any Thoughts About Earth?, We Are All Wrestling Siblings and So, You Believe In Evolution Now?, Will Gambola Sing make the choice of questioning the listener throughout their songs, approaching responses only to be put on hold, and all with a lightness that defies the common laws of gravity. The music of Will Gambola Sing narrates the day-to-day life and anticipates the singing of silent protagonists nourished by expectations, who eventually get lost, wait for the train that will take them to a further city, drink three coffees in a row to skip casual conversation, ride a red bicycle with no brakes, fall for a stranger they think they will never get to see again, encounter their first playground love at a bus stop, finally find their way home and reach out for hopeful moments.
