Denis Sanacore

简介:Denis Sanacore, grandson of a Sicilian emigrant, was born in Montreal on December 22, 1967. As a child, he developed an interest for the violin and became fascinated by this instrument after watching the French television program “Poly à Venise”.   By the time he was a teenager, he was already a self-taught guitarist and had grown a passion for folk rock music, being influenced by musicians such as Willie Nelson, James Taylor, John Denver and Joni Mitchell and many others.   Denis Sanacore studied Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, where he specialized in music. Over the last twenty years, he has been part of a guitar and violin duet with his wife and music partner Rachel Carreau, who is a violinist and a pianist.   In 2012-2013, he made his debut in the film music industry when renowned filmmaker Jean-Pierre Jeunet asked him to compose the track of his upcoming movie “The Young and Prodigious Spivet”, having heard a few of Denis Sanacore’s compositions on mySpace.   His minimalist style is melody-oriented, focused essentially on the guitar or accompanied by a few strings, percussions and harmonica.
