简介：Formerly known as Yogi, Courtney John fashions a reggae old, influenced by the lover's rock and soul and is distinguished by its light in falsetto. Nephew of Beres Hammond, John Courtney was born in the parish of St Andrew in Jamaica and raised in St Mary before flying to the US when he was barely a teenager. At the end of his studies, he returned to Jamaica to launch his career.

In 2007 his second album, "Unselfish" in 2007 was named best album of the year by the Jamaican Irie FM radio, which also embodied the best male artist of the year.

In 2008, he followed his uncle Beres Hammond on tour and wrote the lyrics of his third album, "Made in Jamaica", released in January 2009, with Sly & Robbie productions, Chris Peckings (which produced the single Lucky Man) and Steven "Lenky" Marsden.
