简介

"Tick Tock" is a song recorded by International entertainer SuVi (Suvi Suresh) for her first studio US Single. Featuring Jamaican rapper Jay-5 Flow, it was released by JOJOKID Music as the lead single from her upcoming album. "Tick Tock" was written by the LA Music Award winning team Abby Cubey, DJ Omar Rojas, Amber Irish, along with the song's producer Paul Drago (“Feel My Fire" and 3 times 2013 nominated ). It was mixed by Lawrence Freiberg (director of Live Aid and World Peace 1, Concerts West) and mastered by the legendary Dave Allen. It is an up-tempo electronic dance song with a common time with a tempo of 130 beats per minute, "Tick Tock" incorporates elements of electro house and electropop and draws further musical influences from Eurodance, hard driving techno music. Its development was motivated by Suvi’s Indian heritage (hails from Thrissur, Kerala, India) and pays homage to her career-beginnings as a Bollywood singer and celebrity. Interpolated within the song are recurrent elements of the 2011 composition "On The Floor" written Kinda "Kee" Hamind, AJ Junior, Teddy Sky, Bilal "The Chef", Armando C. Perez, Gonzalo Hermosa, Ulises Hermosa, along with the song's producer RedOne. SuVi described "Tick Tock" as an evolution of her classic sound and as something which sounded very current. The debut and release of "Tick Tock" coincided with Suvi's release of her soundtrack for movie Highway, and song release "Kodana Kodi" from Saroja, composed by Yuvan Shankar Rajaas and her guest appearances on US TV shows on Comcast, as well as several other product endorsement deals. These also provided a platform to debut the single's music video, as well as the stage for Suvi’s first live performance of the song. SuVi is an Indian Singer-Songwriter/Artist who gained recognition after having sung on several projects for Grammy & Oscar winning composer, A.R Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Million Dollar Arm). SuVi entered the Indian music industry at a young age, in 2005, through the first southern pop band, to be signed with Sony BMG called S5. Looking to grow internationally as a Singer-songwriter/Artist, SuVi moved to Los Angeles in 2011 after having won the prestigious Fullride Scholarship from Musicians Institute in Hollywood. SuVi was one of only two recipients and the only South Asian in the history of Musicians Institute to receive a Fullride Scholarship. During her stay in the United States her songwriting and vocal abilities caught the attention of several mainstream producers who have worked with the likes of Robin Thicke, Jay Sean, Mary.J.Blidge The Drifters, Three Dog Night and many more. This also got her a production and management deal to work on a full length album, with an anticipated release date in late 2014. The album comprises of 11 songs, written and performed by SuVi, in the genres of R&B, Pop, Electronic Dance and Hip-Hop coupled with inspiration from Indian melodies and rhythms. "Tick Tock" was met with a generally positive reception from music critics, with editors from BBC Music and Los Angeles Times drawing comparisons to Hit Singer Donna Summer, and Gloria Gaynor. Commercially, "Tick Tock" is anticipated to be Suvi's most successful single to date, topping more than twenty national single charts. In the United States, it will be Suvi's first single to gain Grammy attention, and recognition by by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It will result in being one of the biggest hits of the year landing in the Year-End charts; "Tick Tock" will finish in high regard in Austria, Finland, Germany, Spain and Switzerland, India, Italy, Great Britain, Asia and Jamaica.
