"Ultrasound", Splitsville's second release on Big Deal Records, is a bombastic and eclectic record with a loud sound and "grown-up" themes. This CD features the live favorites "Yearbook", "Ponce de Leon" and the rousing "The Kids Who Kill For Sugar". In describing Ultrasound, perhaps Paul Krysiak put it best: "One of our big ideas when we started out was to have a Townshend/Entwistle/Moon aesthetic: simple guitar, complicated bass, frantic drums. This (album) for me, is the full realization of our desire to spend at least a few moments pretending to be The Who or The Jam." And what could be better than that??
