Having been dubbed as an “assured young soprano,” Bindu wrote her first song at seven and has been performing around the world since the age of twelve. She has performed with her family, with her band, and as a soloist with symphony orchestras. She has collaborated with Al Jarreau, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Ernie Watts, Larry Coryell and Ravi Coltrane among others. As a songwriter and composer,Bindu has received Honorable Mentions at the 16th and 17th Annual Billboard Song Contests and was aTop 20 Finalist (Performance) at the 12thAnnual Unisong International Song Contest (2009). Her debut solo album Surrender was released in India 2011 and was nominated for a GiMA. In 2012, she was named as one of 12 Gen NextAchievers by Verve Magazine.
