Where Are You - An acoustic-electronic track that features Indian violin and electric guitar. Wake Up Rebecca - A fun song about first love by talented song writer Dan Santner. Superstar - Bindu's own song dealing with the trouble of being in the spotlight! My Sad Thoughts - Vince Constantino's upbeat song about being unsure in love. Surrender - The title track, about surrendering to a higher power. Written by Dr. L. Subramaniam Is She Looking At Me - Dan Santner's touching tribute to his mother. Finding My Way - A touching ballad by Dan Santner. I Don't Have Your Answers - A heavily arranged rock ballad. About Bindu Subramaniam: ‘Haunting’ and ‘Hypnotic’ are the two words most commonly used to describe Bindu Subramaniam’s voice. Having been dubbed a ‘third-generation prodigy’ and ‘an assured young soprano’ by the press, Bindu wrote her first song at seven and has been performing since age twelve. Now in her twenties, this singer/songwriter has created a very original sound fusing soft rock and jazz elements with traditional Indian music. Her training in Indian and western styles of music have given her a unique sound. As a songwriter and composer, Bindu Subramaniam has received Honourable Mentions at the 16th Annual Billboard World Song Contest (2009), the 17th Annual Billboard World Song Contest (2010) and was a Top 20 Finalist (Performance) at the 12th Annual Unisong International Song Contest (2009). Bindu is the only Indian artist to receive this accolade. She was also the co- recipient of the GiMA for Best Fusion Album in 2010 (Dr. L. Subramaniam - Live in Neues Gewandhaus with the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra). Bindu has performed/recorded alongside artists like Dr. L. Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, Al Jarreau, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, Larry Coryell, Ernie Watts, Corky Siegel, Matthew Santos, Pandit Jasraj, Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna, Pankaj Udhas, Hariharan, and Remo Fernandes. Bindu has toured extensively, performing with her family (parents Dr. L. Subramaniam and Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam and brother Ambi Subramaniam), her band, and as a soloist with symphony and orchestras, including the Beijing Symphony (China), NRK Philharmonic (Oslo), Fairfax Symphony, Sibiu Philharmonic (Sibiu) and the Leipzig Philharmonic Orchestra (Germany). Bindu has taken her music across the world, performing at prestigious venues like the Lincoln Center (USA), Esplanade (Singapore) and KLCC Twin Towers (Malaysia). She has performed for crowds of upto 200,000 people. Her debut solo album, entitled ‘Surrender’ was released in 2011 on Times Music and was nominated for a GiMA in the Best Pop/Rock Album category. In January 2012, Bindu was named by Verve magazine as one of 12 Gen Next Achievers.
