简介
Singer/Songwriter George Huntley's 3rd album released in 2001. John Lennon and John Denver influences. Strong lyrics and outstanding guitar by John Grant. Every song is a story and naturally has a story. The short versions are: It’s The Journey – Written on a long drive from Baltimore to Indy. When doing soul searching it helps to remember that it doesn’t always matter where you’re going. I Pledge My Love – Written for my niece’s wedding. It came to me on a quiet walk down an English canal path in Marple, UK. (I only got a few strange looks as I was singing to myself.) You Touch My Heart – Written on a drive from Liverpool, UK to Marple, UK after visiting the Beatles museum. Amazingly I didn’t wreck the car. Inspired by John Lennon and, of course, Judy. Isabel & Dion – Written for my god child and her twin brother. They are two very precious babies who had a long struggle to make it to this world. You’re Still You – Written after a conversation with a friend. It’s hard to stay grounded when emotions run high. I Will Always Love You – Written with Brian Kerr and Chris Lines for my nephew’s wedding. The title says it all. My Heart Won’t Say Goodbye – Written in memory of Patrick Wilson 1/25/65 – 8/11/98. A friend and co-worker who died from Leukemia. I was overseas and couldn't make it to his funeral so I wrote this song. Choices – Written shortly after arriving at college. It’s asks the question of how do you know who’s the right one for you. I found out a few years later… One Small Step – Written at an American Diabetes Association meeting where we were discussing how much we still needed to do and how we were going to get there. (I tuned out the meeting for awhile when the song came. Sadly, no one noticed I was gone.) Thank You Mother – Written on Mother’s Day and dedicated to the best mom in the world – mine. Here We Are Again – Written while driving from Wilmington, NC to Raleigh, NC. We were at a critical point in evaluating a business and life change and it was a familiar scary feeling. Don’t Forget To Love The Lord – I think an appropriate closing number for the album. All songs recorded at Secret Sound Studio, Baltimore, MD – John Grant, engineer; except One Small Step recorded at Hit City Records, Indianapolis, IN – Tim Brickley, engineer.
