简介
Singer/Songwriter George Huntley's 4th album released in 2007. Strong production by John Grant. Has great hooks, harmonies and a positive message. Sarcasm is everyone's favorite! Song Stories: It All Comes Back To Love – I was trying to write the last song on the album and this one came out. John added the theme played on the recorder through a bit of technical mastery. It had the feel of a special song the whole time. We’re Getting Older – Written prior to my 40th birthday. The inspiration was all of my older relatives… You Made Me Believe – A wedding song for my nephew and his wonderful bride. When I asked them what song came to mind when they thought of each other they said the Monkees “I’m A Believer”. Sarcasm – Come on, we’ve all felt this way. We really do have a waste water treatment plant with park benches. What could they possibly have been thinking? Have I Changed Much? – Written in college. I guess I’ve changed a bit… I Believe – Written while driving around and thinking about the world. The Lord’s Prayer – OK, I didn’t write the words. This setting came to me during a sermon that I wasn’t listening to – sorry Bert. I was intrigued by doing something different with it. Is Anybody Home? – Written after seeing “An Inconvenient Truth”. Hello? There Are Times – Another college song that I can finally get out of my head. It All Comes Back To Love II – “II” is for Judy (who is my #1) and essentially chronicles our relationship. Things like her asking me out and paying for the ring are all true. (I did pay her back.) If you know Judy you also know her passion for sports. My wife turns heads at sporting events but it’s not her wardrobe. Her comments are always clean but she has a certain volume… Special thanks to John Grant for sharing your amazing talent. I am perpetually in awe of your ability to create guitar licks and backgrounds on the spot. John played every background track on the record. I really appreciate your easy style, consummate professionalism and your friendship over the years. It is a true joy to work with you. John has a jazz album out with his band called True Spirit. I strongly recommend it – www.truespiritmusic.com. Thanks also to my nephew, Jimmy Lewis, for the fabulous high harmony back up vocals on We’re Getting Older and The Lord’s Prayer. There are some notes I just can’t reach, and really no one should be able to but it’s cool that Jimmy can! Thanks to Judy for letting me do this. Recording an album is perhaps the most selfish thing I can imagine doing and I am so grateful to be able to do it. Your love and support keep me going – wherever I may be.
