Winner of the 2013 Golden Tam Tam (Congolese Music Award) and the 2012 RFi Couleurs Talent Contest for her album "Retour aux Sources” (Back to my Roots),Syssi Mananga is a singer and song writer, with soulful voice and strong text. Raised by a Belgian father and a Congolese mother,Syssi Mananga grew up in-between two continents. Her music reflects this cultural mix and creatively combines the heritage of her African roots with influences from jazz, zouk, rumba and pop. As a strong believer in the therapeutic virtues of music, Syssi has also founded in 2012 the Artistes en Herbe (Budding Artists) Project, which provides music classes to vulnerable kids in Congo.
