Because There Are No Words...

These solo piano improvisations were recorded at three different studios mostly during a time of great sadness and uncertainty. They are dedicated to my mother-in-law, Rowena Fredekind.

I've named these solos sequentially; Tears, Prayers, Hope, Snowfall, Morning,Trees, Fragile, Uncertain, Night, Take It As It Comes, Peaceful, Quiet Room, Tulips, and Love Heals. The titles each have meaning as a sense memory or something of significance in my experience of saying good bye to Rowena, a lovely, cheerful, person and wonderful mother-in-law.

Though I was connecting with and expressing sorrow through my playing, the music seems to have taken on a quiet, calm, poignant feeling.
