Hi, my name is Megan Landry :) I'm from Canada, and writing songs is basically what I do. When I was around 7 I tried to sign up for lessons with the neighbourhood piano teacher. All the other kids were going to her. I really wanted to too. I was turned down. Told my Mom I didn't have enough "attention span" to ever play the piano properly. My Mom left it at that until she noticed I started playing tunes that I was hearing off commercials. So at age 9 I started piano lessons at "High Note Academy". I still go there. I wrote my first song when I was 11. I went into singing lessons around age 13 and now I write my own songs and record them with Scott Walsh. MOST IMPORTANTLY: This is what I do, and I love it. Being a 15 year old girl singer, of ALL people, I'm obviously one of the biggest targets to the internet. But that's okay with me :) , because I'm throwing everything I got into the circle, open for compliments, criticism and comments. The best advice I've been given in this industry is "people will tell you your absolutely amazing, and people will tell you your absolute sh*t. The trick is to not believe either of them." I couldn't agree more. That one quote is completely genius in my eyes, because it's 100% true. I'm not a terrible singer, but I'm not Christina Aguilera either. I'm not the next Rebecca Black, I'm the first Megan Landry, and there's not a single thing people can say to me to change that, and what I stand for. I love all my fans, and I'm improving on what I do every single day. I will never consider myself a perfect singer, because I'm still improving. But I know I've got some kind of spark in me, and I'd hate myself if I let it go to wastet. I want to show people what I've got. If people like it, then good I'm glad.
