This album is a collection of electroacoustic soundscapes composed mostly in the course of my involvement with the Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers' Association (founded 2002) and the Hellenic Society for Acoustic Ecology (founded 2006). Two of them, namely Ghosts and Railway Stations, were composed earlier but were reworked in the 00's. They were all presented in various festivals and conferences in Greece and abroad. Most notably, "Lullaby", which was inspired by a traditional Greek lullaby, was diffused in France (Bourges 2009), "La Vita Interiore" in China (Musicacoustica Beijing, 2012) and "HardcoreZen" in the USA (Texas University, 2014). "Duels" participated in the Presque Rien competition (2011) for the memory of Luc Ferrari, "Ghosts" is part of the Canadian Sonus library and "Railway Stations" was diffused as a sound installation during the Marathon of Electroacoustic Music (2003) at the Goethe Institut Athen. The album’s title refers to a certain duality which governs the backbone of these compositions (day/night, city/countryside, man/machine, reality/fantasy, etc.).
