Stranjjur is about to come full-circle this summer, and to kick off our parade of big releases which we've been patiently waiting for the right moment to unload on the world; we return to where it all began, with Lula Circus furnishing their 2nd EP for Stranjjur, nearly 2 years after their debut EP helped launch them to the globe trotting rising stars they are today; and helped Stranjjur launch in proper fashion to get us where we've arrived in our first 2 years as a label. The Star Crossed Love EP features 2 stellar originals from Lula Circus, both heart-tugging and spewing with emotional grooves and Lula's signature melodic undertones which give both cuts an appeal that's impossible to ignore. 2U in particular revisits the days of freestyle in the late 80s/early 90s with it's instantly addictive vocal, laid atop a big bass line, and a mesmerizing synth workout that plays off the vocals in perfect harmony. So Cold is yet another heart-wrenching, emotionally-charged cut; one which we've been waiting to get out for quite some time and are glad to finally unleash upon the world. On remix duties, the red-hot Kolombo supplied us with a floor filler, while our new friend Beckwith (Ajunadeep) comes through with a super-groovy peak time remix which nods toward Bristol with it's garage-inspired bass and vocal cuts. The power punch, however, comes from two guys which any Stranjjur fan know just as well as Lula Circus themselves; Havens+Hart. They completely flip 'So Cold' on it's head, filling every spectrum layer imaginable with non-stop funk and bass which is a guaranteed knockout punch on any dancefloor.
