The Risen is from Houma, Louisiana a band that was started in November of 2010. Lead Singer Dennis Barnes and lead guitarist Mason Soudelier started this band after our previous band had failed. We then found our bass player Brett Soignet and started jamming to the few originals we had previously in the other band. Then came Trevor Lee on drums we were now a full band called The Risen. After playing for about a half a year we went into the studio to record our first album called My Wish. After recording the album the band decided we needed a rythme guitarist so we brought in Grant Courville. Playing many shows, festivals, and charity fund raisers we are ready to record our second album called Learn How To Fly. Should be released this summer 2012.
