简介
Bart Hopkin is best known for work with invented musical instruments, and to a lesser degree for solo guitar. (If you're interested, check out CDs like "Instrumentarium Hopkinis" and "21 Ways of Looking at Things" for invented instruments, or "After Seven Years" for guitar music.) The current CD, "Aloft at Last," isn't in those categories. It's a collection of songs and pieces using a variety of instruments both conventional and un-, selected from several decades of mostly unpublished musical work. The moods and styles vary quite a lot; rather than trying to describe them the hope is that you'll listen to some tracks to get a sense of their sound for yourself. You can learn more about Bart Hopkin's work at the website that shares his name.
