The double single also marks his first official release since the star-studded “RHULUMENTE Remix”, which went viral in late 2022/early 2023. The song amassed over 800 000 combined streams/views and also received heavy rotation on national TV. The two new singles, sonically, are a shift from the minimalistic bounce found on “RHULUMENTE.” “clean job” is an understated single, with a jazzy piano loop and a sample of “666SPIDANS” by legendary Cape Town artist Boolz intertwined at the beginning of the song. Lyrically, it features witty, boastful lines delivered in iRingas (Cape Town township slang). The song also features an appearance from frequent collaborator mtshanakamalume who, at the end, turns in his trademark trash talking. “eshibobo” on the other hand is a much grander affair. The song, which references the classic South African football talk show of the same name, is a stadium-ready anthem with booming horns and synths laced with aspirational lines. With show-stealing appearances from fellow budding Cape Town artists K.Keed and Orish, “eshibobo” is sure to be a fan-favourite for supporters of all artists involved.
