Kenneth Irving Scott Jr. (Ken Scott) has been composing since 1982, beginning within his High School years. Although he has studied and performed classical vocals, piano, and some guitar, he also holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and works with MIDI-compatible musical equipment. His musical influences range from Classical composers such as Handel, Beethoven, Chopin, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, and Gabriel Fauré, to Latin Jazz and Samba artists such as Carlos Santana, Willie Bobo, Mongo Santamaria, Tito Puente, "The Conga Kings" (a.k.a. Candido Camero, Carlos "Patato" Valdes, and Giovanni Hidalgo), Roberto Roena y Su Apollo Sound, Jorge Ben Jor, Sergio Mendes, Paulinho da Viola, and Revelação, all the way to Electronic/"New Age" artists such as Vangelis and Yanni. Mr. Scott currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
