简介
On this his 3rd album, he sings in Swedish for the first time, even if 5 of the songs are in English in this international issue. A somewhat timeless mix of influences, it shows why artists in Brazil, France, Sweden and Japan have also chosen to cover his songs. Influences range from French chanson (C'est La Vie), loop-like Western-African guitars (Allt Har Sin Tid), polyrhythmic bossanova landscapes (Jabuticaba), Cuban scents (As If It's Never Taken Place), pop, reggae, bossanova and the miniature song I Guess It's OK, by this time a standard feature on his albums (comparing these short songs to haiku poems). Featuring Roman Andrén (rhodes, wurlitzer, hammond), Karin Hammar (trombone) and Olle Linder (bouzouki, bass, drums), and mastered by Brazilian mastering wizard Ricardo Garcia. J.C. Schütz – vocals, guitars, cavaquinho, percussion, toy glockenspiel, nicaraguan marimba and piano Olle Linder – drums, bass and percussion, plus the bouzouki in 'C'est La Vie' Karin Hammar – trombone Stefan Persson – trumpet Roman Andrén – rhodes, wurlitzer, hammond and piano Helena Soluna – backing vocals in all songs apart from 'Hey It's Gonna Be OK' Katarina Nilsson – backing vocals in 'Hey It's Gonna Be OK' Sebastian Notini – the pandeiro in 'Quintessência' which J.C. later sampled and looped Produced by Johan Christher Schütz. Recorded in Stockholm, Sweden, between January and June 2008. Mixed for Livart Produktion by Katarina Nilsson and J.C. Schütz, in a house on Öland in July 2008. Mastered by Ricardo Garcia in Magic Master Studio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
