That's why with every ounce I'm singing," clktrx pays tribute on the orchestral, gospel inspired title track. The debut album from writer/producer clktrx, To The Muse, is a worthy offering of pop, neo-soul, and classic R&B. With the hopes of creating an experience, clktrx leads the listener on a journey that is complete from start to finish, revealing not only passion, lust, and longing, but influences that span genres and decades. "The Beginning - Prelude and Postlude," are appropriate bookends that encourage putting the entire album on repeat, while showcasing full orchestral arrangements that feel as if you are in a live venue. The heavy string presence continues into "To The Muse," as well as "Incredible," the latter of which strips away the drums and production of the albums other offerings to reveal a melody that is exactly as it's title implies. To The Muse incorporates the many personalities of a writer and producer that is seemingly unwilling to fit within one genre. "I Do," the most fitting wedding song on an album brimming with other worthy offerings, and "Could It Be, Is It She?" are the most pop-centric of the album; while "I Always Knew" is nostalgic of classic 90's R&B, that would be relevant on the charts today. "Our First Night," "Naked (Put A Ring On It)," "I'm Through/The Beginning," and "I Don't Have To (Without You)," are raw, sexy, and vulnerable, teeming with neo-soul instrumentation and harmonies in the vein of pioneers Maxwell and D'Angelo. clktrx is only showing off his range in the live spoken word piece "mrs. clktrx," but it is a welcome change of pace, and another planned stop on a calculated journey through all that makes clktrx exactly what clktrx is.

Releasing over 100 instrumental tracks in the last 2 years, clktrx was already prolific before the release of his full-length debut. While producing tracks for a broad range of artists, including Xsia and Kosal So, clktrx began blessing the tracks with unique vocal arrangements that kept the industry waiting to hear more than just the keyboard. When "Always Hope," a powerful and inspirational tribute, featuring Xsia, was released, clktrx's future was finally cemented as more than a producer. "I'ma try and be the man you need, promise you I will never leave," clktrx smoothly serenades in "Changed Man." We don't know much about the man he was before, but if this album is any indication of what is to come, we hope he stays just the way he is.
