Singer Songwriter, Jon Lawrence (from South Wales) has been writing for 15 years and has a canon of over 300 songs. An ethnomusicologist, Jon is keen to incorporate tradition sounds from around the world into a standard singer-songwriter approach. The music is inspired by a range of artists from Peter Gabriel, Crowded House, Bruce Springsteen, Sting and The Beatles, but also has nods to celtic music, mongolian music South American music. As well as providing all the vocals, playing guitar, keys, drums and bass, Jon also plays, the charango - a small, 10-string South American guitar, duduk and the banjo.
