'I Am a Girl' is an anthem for girls and women around the world to believe in themselves and go after their dreams, no matter what obstacles they may face. It is an uplifting song about breaking away from gender stereotypes, and empowering females to be whatever they want to be in life. 'I Am a Girl' is one of the theme songs for the 2016 United Nations celebration of International Women's Day, and the 60th Anniversary of the Commission of the Status of Women (CSW60). Tennille Amor is working closely with UN Women to help reach the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of Gender Equality by 2030.

The music video for 'I Am a Girl' features footage from women and girls around the world lip-syncing the lyrics to the song. It features a number of recognizable celebrity cameos who came on board to support Tennille in the movement to reach #Planet5050 by 2030.
