A fearless explorer of music, Cynthia Brando explores a more pop sound with this three song teaser. Recorded in Humboldt County in 2013 by engineer and co-producer Chad Johnson, it also features great guitar riffs by Chad, plus bass lines provided by brother Chuck Johnson. An east coast native but a California girl at heart, for most of her life she has lived close to the coast. Her sound blends fusions of music she has been exposed to while living in California such as blues, folk, rock and pop. There is a distinctive California coastal vibe on these recordings which will hopefully make you want to move your feet. The last song on the album, the title track "To the Bone", is a nice mellow tune to relax into. Cynthia is currently residing in Los Angeles and pursuing professional songwriting, but is a performer in her own right and has performed in Los Angeles at such venues as the House of Blues. She continues to grow as an artist, and her recent three song album, "You Dropped My Hand (But I Understand)" shows that she can also command country music with her beautiful waltzes and pedal steel driven tunes. She is also an artist, with an exciting line of jewelry from her company "Bohemian Path", some of which feature her original lyrics as wearable art.
