Ravage! Ravage! is a dark electronic-pop foursome from The Netherlands. They “eat glass candy, swing like Siouxsie and splice their synthpop with distorted guitars”, and, according to Dutch online multimedia channel 3voor12, bring “Ibiza entertainment from hell”.Live, the band (live drums, vocals, synths and bass guitar) performs with live visuals, sometimes backed by performers such as Million Dollar Kids and Leendert Doremifasolatilo. The band has been compared to bands like Soft Cell, Depeche Mode and IAMX. The past two music videos - for "Blisters" and most recently "Trick Mirror" have been on the (Dutch) MTV playlist for months. Previously, Ravage! Ravage! performed live in places like London, Berlin and Milan, and all over the Netherlands at events such as the Amsterdam Fashion Week, Arnhem Mode Biënnale, Incubate, Subbacultcha! presents, and supporting like-minded bands Vive la Fête, Lebanon Hanover and Light Asylum. The first two singles, ‘Trick Mirror’ and ‘Blisters’, are mixed by Blokgolf (Auke Riemersma of Auxiliary tha Masterfader and Jeroen Joosten of Sumera) and mastered in London by the late Nilesh Patel (who has previously mastered recent albums by Crystal Castles, New Young Pony Club and The Kills). October 2013 sees the release of Ravage! Ravage!'s third EP, ‘Eat Your Melancholy’. In 2013, Ravage! Ravage! started their own monthly wave/synth party, Dark Allies, in Amsterdam's Paradiso. - Subbacultcha!: “A very danceable blend of new and cold-wave” - Incendiary Magazine, after a performance at last year's Incubate festival: “A mélange of electronic-glam noise and courtesan attitudes that wouldn’t have shamed the court of Charles II. Despite having a blazing attitude that is off kilter with much of what’s around in level-headed Holland at the moment, this is a glossy Gothicke pop band of the highest tradition.”
