简介
I am so excited to finally share these 19 compositions that I have been working on over the past two years. They all have many inspirations and messages behind them, but I'll just talk about some of them - or we'll be here all day. Light in the Darkness (musical portrait) I dedicated the composition to my auntie and cousins after the death of my uncle. There are lots of busy notes and fast tapping, which sums up our family, full of madness. The song is my way of saying thanks to God for the family I have in the midst of a very dark time. “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). Forever Strong (musical portrait for my nan) I wrote this for Jean Willetts (my nan). She is the most positive and caring person I’ve ever met, always putting others above herself. She trusts God in all circumstances and always uses Him as her strength. Right now she is doing an amazing job of battling cancer, where she has remained full of strength, hope and joy. I composed this musical portrait for her shortly after she was diagnosed; so whenever she is feeling weak and tired, she can be reminded of who God has called her to be, forever strong. Pour out on Zion (orchestrated) It is inspired by the scripture Isaiah 51, which is a heart cry of God’s love for His people. I've been inspired by the imagery in the language and have attempted to portray the same passion and emotion found in the scripture. Make sure you check out the music video on youtube, which was filmed in the pouring rain! To keep up to date with my future projects, please subscribe to my youtube channel! Youtube.com/soccimatthew I would like to thank Chris Smith, Corrinne Frost, Susan Socci, Jim Socci and Sarah Socci for their help with orchestration. A massive thanks to Chris Smith and Rain Dance studios for recording/mastering!
