Turning Leaves is the first single from the dreamy bass/vocal EP "Sharpen" by Woozles. Sharpen is going to be released on February 10th via Deadplant Records. It was heavily inspired by World of Echo by Arthur Russell and mastered by Warren Hildebrand (of Foxes in Fiction).

I started Woozles because I wanted to be able to express myself in an honest way and hopefully reflect my own goofiness, as well as my depression. In May, I released an album called Ember on Deadplant Records that has full band instrumentation, but with this EP I wanted something really intimate. I've been listening to a whole lot of Arthur Russell lately, but since I have no clue how to play the cello, I fell back onto my bass. I wanted to explore a palette of sound that I don't hear too often and I think a lot can be said with just vocals, bass, and delay. It's best heard with headphones. I don't expect it to be the next pop smash sensation, but I think it's something raw and honest that I'm proud to share.
