Just like the woozles in A.A. Milne’s stories, the music of Woozles weaves both dark and playful themes. This album is a breakup album through and through, but I tried to capture as best I could - both musically and lyrically - the range of emotions you feel when saying goodbye to a person you love. The music itself is a little bit of punk, some folk, a touch of electropop, a splash of surf, and definitely weird. Throughout it all I hope I was honest. No heffalumps in the band yet.

My actual name is Conor Ryan. In September I started college out at a small school in California that I moved across the country to go to with my girlfriend at the time. When I came home to Connecticut for winter break, I realized I wasn’t happy in California, so I decided I wasn’t going back. At around the same time my girlfriend of two years and I ended our relationship. I was at a total loss, so I started writing these songs to help me figure out what the hell was going on in my life. I wrote, recorded, and mixed this album all in my basement. My biggest influences musically during recording were 80s new wave bands, Kurt Vile, Alex G, Iron and Wine, and Mister Heavenly. I didn’t shy away from jumping around genres, since I wanted this album to be a representation of myself.
